Every year from mid September to mid October, Canberra celebrates spring with a spectacular event called Floriade. Located in Commonwealth Park, in the city centre this spectacular flower show boasts over a million flowers in bloom, entertainment, and interactive demonstrations and workshops. Floriade offers something for all ages and is the largest flower show of its kind in the southern hemisphere. Floriade is open 7 days a week during the event and offers free admission during the day.
